Acelero Learning has two divisions. Acelero Learning is a direct provider Head Start services in four states (New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Nevada and Wisconsin). Shine Early Learning partners with local organizations to support the delivery of high quality services through Shine Assist and Shine Implement programs.
We are looking for a Family Engagement and Support Advocate (FESA) who will work as a member of a team whose primary role is to engage families to partner with Acelero Learning staff to promote children's healthy development and school readiness. The FESA will provide individualized, intensive support to the most vulnerable families in our Head Start program, including families experiencing significant crisis, families who are recently homeless, whose children are in foster care as well as families impacted by substance abuse, family violence or mental health concerns. These families make up a sub-set of the Advocate's total caseload. In order to effectively support these families the FESA will be expected to establish and maintain relationships with community providers to provide the resources, counseling, treatment or other interventions needed to assist them to stabilize their circumstances and enhance their overall well-being.

Maintain accurate and timely record keeping and reporting
BA/BS/BSW or AA/AS in social work, family and child development, human services or related field
Demonstrated experience in training and educating the parents of young children to advocate for their families
A passion for achieving positive child and family outcomes through highly involved and high quality family engagement
Demonstrated computer literacy skills
Ability to successfully pass all pre-hire physical examinations and background screens
Reliable transportation, able to work and travel to/from multiple Acelero Learning centers as needed
