Position Description

Dalberg is currently seeking a bright, motivated and entrepreneurial candidate to join its Asia People Team as a Sr. Associate. This is a full-time role that will be based in Dalberg’s Mumbai office.

The role will be to Support & Lead processes and initiatives across multiple HR aspects including, but not limited to recruiting, performance management, staffing, staff satisfaction, international mobility, policies and compliance, etc. This role is both strategic as well as implementation focused.

Key responsibilities include:

Human Capital

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive talent strategy for the recruitment, development and retention of staff across the areas enlisted below.
  • Help refresh policies and re-engineer processes and guide the human capital team in executing the talent strategy.
  • Work with legal partners to ensure Dalberg Asia’s policies are aligned with what is defined by the law and stay up-to-date on changing requirements – Office compliance, records and filing, Maharashtra shops and Establishment Act… etc

Talent Acquisition and Management

  • Onboarding – Seamless process, great experience for candidates, agenda, session management, content and facilitators schedule, admin & HR policies
  • Recruitment – Design posters, upload and publish on Linked In, Taleo queue management, Interview scheduling, feedback calibration, offer generation
  • Be responsible for all campus recruitment as well as lateral recruitment for Dalberg Asia.
  • Interface with the global recruitment team to develop strategy for the international schools and ensure that Dalberg Asia has good presence during those recruitment windows.
  • Record and analyze recruitment data to report on key trends and apply the same in refining the recruitment strategy and processes.
  • Orchestrate events and outreach, and management of agencies if any, among other such responsibilities.

Performance Management

  • Ensure Project level evaluations are tracked, completed and submitted on time
  • Track Development opportunities for staff and provide as input to Staffing function


  • Maintain project start and end dates tracker
  • Track all Business Development and pipeline project requirements
  • Track adherence to contracts for all projects staffed

Employee Experience

  • Enhance employee experience across their life cycle at Dalberg, i.e. interview/recruitment process, onboarding, project experience, staff professional development, offboarding, alumni engagement, etc.
  • Serve as a resource for staff to come to with concerns or grievances; working with management to keep a check on staff needs and implement solutions as appropriate.

Given the growing nature of Dalberg Asia, these projects are only indicative. A major part of the role is to identify new projects to improve the experience of Dalberg Asia’s employees.

Note: Employment in all the Dalberg offices is conditional on the candidate having or obtaining the requisite authorization to live and work in that country.


Typical Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of work experience, with at least 3-4 years in an HR role
  • Experience working in a strategy consulting / professional services firm preferred
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and working with senior management
  • Expert in MS Excel – Reporting, tabulation, Formulas, Analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as in a team
  • Superior organizational and time management skills
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
