DEA’s Energy Business Unit has an immediate need for Engineering Interns to work on Power Delivery High-Voltage Transmission Line design projects.  These positions are located in Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA with flexible hours to accommodate a school schedule.   

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for transmission line design tasks such as loading analysis, clearance calculations, line design, preparation of client deliverables, preparing bills-of-material, high-voltage assembly designs, electrical and structural analysis, ampacity and power studies.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be pursuing an ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or an Associates of Science Engineering Technology, and be within 1-2 years of graduation.
  • Strong teamwork, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
