About the role
The Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Manager is a crucial member of the Southern NSW leadership team in one of our largest businesses, Grains.
Based from our Regional Support Office at Wagga Wagga, and reporting to the GM SHE in Sydney, the role will take lead across all safety, health and environment matters for the region.
You’ll implement Grains and group-level SHE strategies and programs, developing targeted initiatives for your portfolio that lead to continuous and sustainable improvements in SHE performance.
Specifically, you will:

About your experience
Our ideal candidate has recognised qualifications / formal training in WHS and sound experience operating in an autonomous safety management position within a similar business environment (such as supply chain or manufacturing).
You should have an excellent working knowledge of WHS legislation – preferably NSW. Proven incident investigation experience following an accepted methodology (ICAM preferred) and experience in audit and corrective action planning is required.
You should have a clean and current driver’s licence and the willingness and ability to undertake frequent travel in your region (around 50% travel in role).
Finally, and most importantly, you will have outstanding communication, influencing, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
