Tidewater Environmental Services, offers a range of services including industrial cleaning, hazardous and non-hazardous waste transportation, wet/dry vacuum services, tank cleaning, and ship cargo hold cleaning throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and parts of California. We are currently seeking Class A CDL Drivers to drive designated vehicles and transport products to specified destinations to ensure the successful and timely delivery of products. This includes loading and unloading trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
Starting wage is $21.30 - $24.72 per hour DOE. Overtime is paid for all weekend work and any work beyond eight hours per day or 40 hours per week. Upon eligibility, generous benefit package includes full-family medical/dental/vision coverage, paid vacation, pension, and eight paid holidays per year (total package compensation $30.42 - $34.04/hour including wages, health and welfare, and pension). This position is represented by the I.U.P.A.T District Council No.5; however, this is not a seniority-based shop.
Manages self and others in support of incident-free operations.
Drives rolloff, dropbox, vacuum (wet/dry), VacCon, and guzzler trucks to transport material to various locations.
Loads equipment and vacuum hoses.
Ensures the successful and timely delivery of products.
Maintains appropriate communication via cell phone with employees and customers.
Follows all Company work rules, procedures and guidelines.
Represents the Company in a professional manner.
Responsible for prompt and regular attendance as scheduled.
Required Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Must have a valid Drivers’ License and a good driving record.
Must have Commercial Driver’s License (Class A).
Ability to obtain HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements.
Ability to work an on-call schedule.
Ability to travel to job sites that include out of town work (10-15%), as required.
Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) required for maintenance yard location, which may include ear plugs, protective eyewear, goggles, life vest, crush resistant footwear, hard hat and personal flotation devices.
Ability to obtain a Transportation Work Identification Credential (TWIC) Card from the Department of Homeland Security.
Ability to read, write, verbalize and comprehend instructions and correspondence in English. Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors in a variety of conditions.
Must have basic mathematical skills obtained through high school diploma or equivalent.

May require a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. May require lifting up to 100 pounds on occasion as needed.
Work is performed in a construction-type setting, as job duties require. May be exposed to loud operating machinery, inclement weather conditions, working around water, slip/fall hazards, electrical and mechanical hazards, foreign body hazards, chemicals, vapors and dust and fumes.
