Intern - Internal Creative Communications

 

Summary of Position

Amicus Therapeutics is a global, patient-dedicated biotechnology company focused on discovering, developing and delivering high-quality medicines for people living with rare metabolic diseases.

Level Up @ Amicus is our Summer Internship Program, created to give students an opportunity for experiential learning in a corporate environment. This is a meaningful, mutually beneficial program where students will bring innovation and drive that will help us reach our goals. In turn, our highly-skilled Amicus team will help students apply what they already know, and broaden their knowledge base.

This is a full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship that will run from May 18, 2020 until August 14, 2020. For best consideration, candidates should apply by no later than February 9, 2020.

The internal creative communications intern is a creative, high-energy individual who will contribute to the global internal, interactive events, installations, and creative content that drives our patient-centric culture.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Internal Creative Communications Intern is responsible for:

  • Create + organize internal campaigns on behalf of departments, events, projects, and profiles.
  • Generate multi-media content for our internal campaigns across digital, physical, and collaborative channels.
  • Learn our digital signage system and upload content.
  • Draft written descriptions and creative content for our internal communications tools.
  • Help manage volunteer events.
  • Plan and execute our monthly company events.

Developmental, Experiential & Educational Value (for Summer Intern):

  • Develop ability to strategize, organize, and execute an editorial calendar of communications materials
  • Development of communications tools to create original video, image, and written content
  • Experience collaborating across departments, stakeholders, and expertise levels to coalesce and reconcile varying viewpoints
  • Gain knowledge of specific industry operations + regulations that all communications must accurately express + align with

Qualifications and Background Requirements

  • Must be a current student to apply
  • Video + image editing tool experience
  • Strong background in writing
