Amicus Therapeutics is a global, patient-dedicated biotechnology company focused on discovering, developing and delivering high-quality medicines for people living with rare metabolic diseases. Galafold, a treatment for certain patients with Fabry disease, has been approved and reimbursed in over 20 countries, including the US, Japan, EU5, Canada, and Australia.
This position reports to the Head of Global Marketing & Commercial Planning and will play a key role leading tactical creation across all international geographies and pull through of both at a country level. This position will also provide key input into short-term and long-term brand strategy at a global level. This role will foster innovation and flawless execution across the affiliates and ensure that the needs of the International affiliates are represented and met at the Global level.
Roles and Responsibilities
The International Marketing Director is responsible for and will:
Partner with the Global Marketing team in engaging with International country managers and commercial directors in pull through of brand strategy, existing materials, and new materials.
Provide input into global brand strategy, both short term and long term.
Lead the International Liaison Team to champion and drive alignment on key needs in markets and pull through of marketing collateral.
Partner with Global Marketing to develop digital strategy for international markets & identify opportunities to advance brand objectives via digital channels.
Directly support smaller International countries (e.g. countries without commercial directors) in pull through of global marketing tactics and market research activities.
Represent the marketing needs of the International business with the Global team.
Serve as a standing member of the Galafold brand team and planning member of best practice sharing meetings to support in the communication of best practices between markets as well as driving brand consistency.
Liaise with Global Decision Support to coordinate any required local feedback and reviews of global market research that has international participants.
Liaise with country GMs and KAMs to ensure local insights are being collected to inform any adaptations to the brand strategy or marketing materials.
Execute ad hoc commercial projects that are agreed by IST and / or the Global Marketing team after discussion with all stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with all Amicus policies and procedures, as well as all local Codes and laws.
Drive a high performance culture by fostering innovation, customer focus, personal accountability and commitment for results.
Have clear alignment with Amicus mission statement and culture including a passion for patients and the ability and desire to interact with multidisciplinary teams and foster a collaborative environment.
Reports to Vice President, Global Marketing & Commercial Planning
Qualifications And Background Requirements
Minimum of 7+ years of Product Marketing and related commercial function experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device, or biotech industry.
Rare Disease experience highly desirable, with requirement of understanding of specialty therapeutics addressing significant unmet medical needs.
Digital marketing experience required.
This position will be based at Amicus Marlow UK
A high level of international travel may be required for this role in the future.
