Director of International Financial Planning and Analysis
Summary of Position
Amicus Therapeutics is a global, patient-dedicated biotechnology company focused on discovering, developing and delivering high-quality medicines for people living with rare metabolic diseases.
The Director of International FP&A is at the center of the business delivery and the lead provider of financial analysis in order drive business performance. This role reports to VP Global FP&A & Head of Finance International and will be interacting with the SVP International, International Leadership team members and Global Finance Teams with daily frequency and is expected to be able to influence the trajectory of the business. Director of International FP&A will be representing the International business at a Global level and commensurate to this will be involved in all appropriate planning meetings. This hire will lead a team of two (one (Senior) Manager and one Senior Associate) in International Financial Planning & Analysis
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead, motivate and develop the International Financial Planning and Analysis Organisation, with overall responsibility for the provision of robust financial planning and analysis to drive business performance.
Provide insight and strategic counsel to SVP International, International Leadership team members, Global Finance Teams and VP Global FP&A & Head of Finance International on International financial performance
Lead the drive in embedding best in industry processes and frameworks linked to the vital capabilities of financial reporting, long range planning and forecast/budget cycles.
Support the development and the update of the financial reporting system to fit Amicus Finance and Business requirements in terms of financial performance management.
Proactively review and challenge the status quo and support business International and regional leadership teams on resources optimisation and cost efficiencies.
Work with Regional Vice Presidents and country leadership teams on pricing changes in the short and medium term with impact analysis on country revenue and contribution
Performance management (which encompasses both management reporting and financial planning).
Leading the Forecast and Budget Processes for International, working closely with the SVP International, International Leadership team members, Global Finance Teams and VP Global FP&A & Head of Finance International to ensure optimal business delivery.
Interacting with the International Leadership team to develop their knowledge and skills of the monthly financial results, forecasts and budgets in line with agreed timelines and finance systems.
Provide strategic direction to and oversee the design, implementation and reporting associated with all budget, forecast and monthly reporting for International
Provide accurate revenue, expenses and contribution forecasts for planning purposes, including rolling forecasts and ad hoc analysis
Create and maintain a culture and environment of compliance with both the local jurisdictions legal, financial, regulatory, professional and ethical requirements and/or Amicus standard operating procedures to ensure adherence with whatever is the most exacting standard.

Qualified to degree level
Professional Accounting qualification
Proven track record within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
Experience of planning software including enhancements
Track record of success in financial planning and business analytics.
Management experience in a financial and commercial environment with experience of working in cross functional projects at a multi country level
Passionate about financial excellence in a cost-effective environment.
