Infoscitex is seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Administrator (ISSM) to support one of our Prime contracts with the US Air Force. In this role will provide Systems Administrative expertise to enabled continued execution of an extensive modeling and simulation development, and operations research effort.
As a member of our team, you will support aerospace technologies research in Dayton, OH, having opportunities to work in a dynamic environment, with state of the art simulation technologies, simulation integration experts, and military Subject Matter Experts (SME). This work focuses on enabling capability assessments for emerging aerospace technologies and ensuring related tools and methodologies are suitable for DoD Decision Support Systems.
Essential Job Functions:
In this role, you will provide hardware and software administration for several standalone networks at multiple classification levels in support of a growing research and development team at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.You will have an opportunity to help design, deploy, administer, and maintain a standalone research network; Work with government IT professionals to integrate several standalone networks; Create and maintain permissions on file shares and print servers for customers to support laboratory missions and to prevent unauthorized access; and manage and upgrade research workstation hardware and software.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
At least an AS degree in a technical field and at least seven years of related experience. (We have multiple levels associated with this opportunity category. Candidates with varying degree and experience combinations may be considered for alternative classifications).
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: ability to attain at least a Secret level DoD security clearance.
Current Security+ certification (or able to attain one within six months of hire).
Ability to apply technical IT standards, principles, theories and techniques.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Experience as a systems administrator (to include classified systems) where you have enforced, provided or implemented security guidance and information system validation using National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and DOD RMF standards/policies (DoD8510.01, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171).
Experience with Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) methodologies and standards.
Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) practices for the Department of Defense.
Experience conducting continuous vulnerability assessment and security testing of complex software applications, preferably scientific applications.
Experience building, securing, and maintaining Windows-based desktops and servers to DOD requirements (implement and maintain STIG compliance).
Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems and applications (especially Windows 10 Secure Host Baseline and RHEL).
Familiar with continuous integration, continuous release processes, and appropriate software versioning schemes for security patch releases.
Active SECRET or TS/SCI clearance.
