We are currently looking for an Administrative Assistant to provide a wide variety of administrative and office management duties in Chantilly, VA.

 

The Admin Assistant will support the Director of Business Operations in day to day business operations of our Chantilly office. The work requires performing a wide variety of administrative duties related to office management.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

•          Direct visitors to appropriate staff

•           Greet and welcome guest as soon as they arrive

•           Sort incoming/outgoing mail

•           Order office supplies and keep stocked

•           Weekly shop at grocery store for office food; monthly shop at Costco.  Keep kitchen stocked

•           Issue guest access badges for visitors

•           Assist with event planning

•           Schedule meetings

•           Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, faxing, light typing etc.

 

Special Knowledge Requirements:

  • Ability to provide efficient services to support various staff members, priorities, commitments, and program goals.
  • Ability to use judgment and to show confidence and poise needed to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with Executive Leadership group, as well as individuals and groups at all levels in the organization.
  • Experience and capabilities in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Knowledge of proper English grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and syntax.
  • Skill in using the telephone and in conducting conversations with a variety of callers, including individuals both inside and outside of the organization and at a wide range of organizational levels.
