Hamilton Island is nestled among the Whitsunday Islands and located at the edge of the world famous Great Barrier Reef. We are seeking an organised and customer service focused Events Coordinator to join our team.

About the Role

  • Full time position, live on island 
  • Coordinate individually tailored corporate and social events - from 20-400+ pax
  • Plan all conference and event arrangements for assigned groups from point of contract to event execution
  • Manage up to 16 upcoming groups/events at any one time 
  • Prepare client itineraries, including securing any related reservations
  • Conduct site visits with clients
  • Source products, services and suppliers as required
  • Keep in line with client budgets, objectives and expectations
  • Maintain efficient channels of communications between clients, vendors and internal departments

About You

  • You have experience in a similar position, and a strong understanding of Business Events
  • Exceptionally organised, you pride yourself on your administration skills 
  • You are confident and passionate when dealing with clients and guests, and build rapport with ease
  • Whilst a team player, you are also self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
  • Customer service focused, you love exceeding client expectations
  • You have used Delphi or a similar Event Management System in a current or previous role
  • Your hospitality experience has given you a sound knowledge of Food and Beverage operations
  • You have an Open Driver Licence and a Queensland valid RSA
