As a Gardener, you will be an integral member of the Hamilton Island Resort Presentation department and will undertake horticultural management of existing gardens, participate in a continuous landscape improvement program and assist with the development of new landscape projects in order to achieve a high level of guest satisfaction whilst protecting the environment.

About the Role

  • Work in a large team 30+ in the Resort Presentation department
  • Manage turf and garden maintenance across the island
  • Inner and outer resorts, main retail and restaurant zone, nursery, church and airport
  • Irrigation, pest management and plant nutrition as required
  • Participate in propagation and other aspects of the nursery operation
  • Operate landscape maintenance equipment in accordance with all Workplace Health and Safety procedures

About You

  • Certificate I, II or III in Horticulture
  • Valid Manual Driver licence
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Love for the outdoors
  • Hospitality/Tourism experience an asset
