Hamilton Island's Sydney Head Office is looking for an experienced Payroll Analyst to support the Payroll team. This position is responsible for providing payroll analytics, assessment of payroll information including advanced award interpretation. This is a 1 year fixed term contract with potential to extend.

About the Role

  • Interpret and provide advice on salaries and related entitlements, leave and general conditions of service in line with Awards, Agreement, policies and procedures
  • Investigate and provide advice as necessary on issues relating to the interpretation and application of legislation, apply policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Undertake general administrative duties associated with the provision of payroll services to Hamilton Island
  • Participate as a constructive team member to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality service and professional practice and standards
  • Respond to queries and requests for service with preciseness, accuracy and in a timely manner

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in the use of computerised payroll packages - preferably Chris 21 
  • Extensive high volume payroll experience in an Award based environment
  • Exceptional award interpretation 
  • Demonstrated sound knowledge of payroll and general HR practices and legislation
  • Advanced Microsoft skills in Excel and Word 
  • Use of T&A Systems preferred
