Hamilton Island’s Services team is seeking a Treatment Plant Operator to assist with the smooth running of the three Water and Sewerage Treatment Plants and associated reticulation system and Pump Stations.

This successful candidate will have a positive attitude, be a team player and has previously worked with sewerage or in a similar environment.

About the Role

• Live on island
• Clean and maintain sewerage pump stations
• Operate Water and Sewerage Treatment Plants according to statutory requirements
• Maintain and secure all required tools and equipment
• Ensure all vehicles used are maintained in a clean, safe and roadworthy condition 
• Perform any other tasks as requested by the Treatment Plant Supervisor

About You

• Open manual driver licence (Essential)
• Must be eligible for an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card)
• White Construction Card (Essential)
• Certificate III in Water Operations (desirable)
• CPR/LVR (desirable)
• First Aid – (desirable)
• HRW – Forklift – (desirable)
• Traffic Management (desirable)
