Salary Range: $32,064-$42,275 annually, plus benefits
We are looking for qualified candidates to join our Asset Management department as Pesticide Applicators. Under general supervision applicators engage in the control and extermination of insects, vermin, rats, and other pests in housing and related structures, and related work as required. A successful applicant will enjoy working to meet deadlines, being focused and passionate about their work and have the ability to work under pressure when needed.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma plus two (2) years of experience in the control and extermination of insects, vermin, rats, and other pests. Certification in Tennessee as a Pesticide Applicator (Certification Category 07).

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Works in a crew engaged in the control and extermination of insects, vermin, rats and other pest;
inspects premises and investigates complaints of infestation;
determines the nature of the infestation and selects the best method of extermination;
uses powders, spray solution, traps, or bait in eliminating pests;
prepares and combines chemicals in proper proportions for safe and effective use;
informs occupants of procedures to be followed and precautions to be taken prior to and during the extermination process;
instructs occupants in methods of preventing the occurrence and spread of infestations;
keeps records and prepares reports of inspections and extermination activities.
Ensures that all building safety features are operational.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of materials, equipment and practices used in the control and extermination of pests and vermin;
Knowledge of the life habits, breeding cycles, and conditions tending to attract pests and vermin and evidence of their presence;
ability to understand and follow written and oral directions;
ability to plan and organize the extermination of pests,
ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Experience in the control and extermination of insects, vermin, rats, and other pests
Experience completing work on time, with minimal supervision
Valid Tennessee driver’s license and must obtain certification as a Pesticide Applicator (Certification Category 07) within 90 days of hire.
