Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Buyer with strong project management, communication, negotiation, and multitasking skills. This high profile, high impact position reports to the Director of Operations. The Buyer will be responsible for effective, timely, and appropriate support to one of North American’s largest categories to drive achievement through financial, operational, and productivity initiatives.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Directly manages specific customer planning, strategy, ideation, and purchasing initiatives.
  • Supports, coordinates and prioritizes purchasing activities based on customer impact (escalates and/or resolves issues as necessary).
  • Maintains timely RFQ and PO processing, meeting appropriate performance objectives.
  • Tracks PO’s to ensure delivery schedules are met and product is effectively received.
  • Supports divisional ideation and product sourcing objectives in support of client.
  • Identifies and supports management of relationships with vendors to create positive working
  • relationships while maximizing NVISION profits.
  • Act as an effective liaison between internal partners, clients and vendors.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5 years relevant Project Management experience (strong purchasing experience a plus).
  • Strong background in sourcing, procuring, printing on fabric and embroidery, as well as, other substrates; ASI buying experience is a plus.
  • Experienced in managing complex supply chain solutions supporting custom brand marketing initiatives involving soft goods manufacturing process (bedding and textile industry).
  • Ability to learn quickly, apply knowledge to systems and processes to improve organizational efficiency.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Customer focus and a “can do” attitude, possesses a strong work ethic and willingness to proactively take ownership of responsibilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills (Intermediate level or greater Microsoft Excel skills).
